Giulia Canevari is an Italian-born artist whose practice bridges the gap between rigorous botanical study and expressive materialism. After earning a diploma in Fine Art and a BA in Illustration and Multimedia Animation from IED Milan, she relocated to Ireland, where she spent years immersed in the discipline of botanical art as a member of the Irish Society of Botanical Artists. Her precision in this field has been showcased at the Dublin Botanic Gardens and the London College of Physicians.

In 2019, her solo exhibition Born from the Soil (Courthouse Gallery, curated by Anne Mullee) marked a pivotal exploration of ecological narratives through a botanical lens. This deep connection to the earth extended into a four-year venture as an ecological florist, cultivating her own blooms for artisan wedding design.

Currently, Canevari is transitioning away from strict botanical representation to explore the interplay of color and matter. Working in oil and watercolor, she draws inspiration from the nuanced textures of everyday subjects and the intimate, often overlooked details of the garden.
